Bible Classes The study of God's Word is a very important part of the life of the Granny White youth group. Even though several of our teens have been privileged to grow up in Christian homes, or attend Christian schools, the church at Granny White still sets aside time for her members to spend studying God's Word. Our young people are challenged to strengthen their knowledge, appreciation, and application of God's Word in their lives. Our elders have provided the facilities, study tools, and other opportunities for our young people to grow in "wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52). Bible classes regularly meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. There are also other times that are regularly devoted to fellowship and worship. There are classes for the 5-6 graders, 7-8 graders, and 9-12 graders at each of these service times. Every second Sunday night of the month our Trailblazers group (5-8 grades) has a devotional at the home of some of our members after Sunday evening services at 6:00 pm. These devotionals usually include food, fun, and fellowship. Our high school group (9-12 grades) has these devotionals on the fourth Sunday night of every month after p.m. services. On Sunday mornings the 9-12 graders meet in room 214 with Scott Tillman teaching the class. The 7-8 graders are led by Joe Chester in Bible study in room 201. The 5-6 graders are taught by the Foxes and Hamrick's in room 205. Our 5-12 grade teen classes are sometimes split by gender during the winter quarters for special study sessions On Wednesday night the high school group is led in topical Bible study by Phil Ellenburg, Don Hudson, and Scott Tillman in room 214. The 7-8 graders are led in Bible Study by Craig Hartline in room 201. The 5-6 graders are taught by Debbie Tumblin in room 205. Pictures from a few of our special classes are displayed below.
