1. In order to encourage mission efforts among our own members we give first and principle consideration to members of Granny White.
2. Next, consideration is given to those who attend Granny White on a regular basis, but may not be members of the congregation.
3. Rarely will consideration be given to anyone who does not meet the first two criteria.  Consideration may be given to recommendations from members and for those who are related to members.
4. Requests submitted on the form supplied by the congregation will be considered ahead of any not using the form.
5. Any request submitted must contain the minimum information asked for in the form below. 
6. Requests must be made with the understanding that no commitment is made on the part of Granny White to honor any given request and that should the request be approved that time be allowed for the Missions Committee to consider the request at one of its monthly meetings, then submit the requests to the elders for approval, then have the church office process the request.  This can take be as short a time as two weeks or as long as eight or nine weeks depending upon when the request was received and when the various entities meet.

Why are you going?  (What do you propose to do when you get there and what do you propose to accomplish?  We look for specific information pertaining to evangelism [teaching/preaching the gospel], we try not to fund "good will " type trips).
What is the total cost of your trip or program?
How much have you raised (received) as of the date of this request?
Where (from whom, and how to reach them by phone?) may we learn the amount you have raised prior to sending our funds?
To whom should the check, if approved, be made?
Where should the funds, if approved, be sent?
If by the time your request is processed you have already raised the necessary funds required will you commit to return our check to us?  (We do not assist programs, only individuals).
Please make a  written commitment to submit to us a report, including photos if available,  of your trip within two weeks of completion of the trip.  We prefer an e-mail of the report but will accept regular mail.
The names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of at least two references.
These should be people who know you, who know of the trip and what you propose to do.
